IBB/VOA conducted its first training course in Vietnam focusing on television journalists from Cantho TV. More than 25 people attended the course, which was designed to improve the effectiveness of TV journalists.
The journalists practiced on-camera performances, framing stories, using natural sound and editing. They spent time covering stories, with feedback from instructors and other students.
The course was taught by Don North and Drew Pearson, two American TV reporters.
