Elkhabar(Egyptian news site) — cited statements aired on Radio Sawa from the HRW’s deputy Middle East director Joe Stork regarding the United States’ stance toward Israeli rights abuses.  “The US should press both the Palestinians and the Israelis to better abide by human rights standards,” said HRW’s deputy Middle East director Joe Stork.

Sot Al Iraq (Iraqi news site) — Gangs have been commandeering empty homes in Baghdad.  Many empty homes that have been taken over were left by Christians who took flight from Iraq, fearful of the near-daily attacks.  Gangs are not targeting properties belonging to people from specific religion, Hakim Abdul-Zahra, the spokesman of the municipality told Radio Sawa.

Al Youm Al Sabe’a (Egyptian news and information site) cited statements aired on Radio Sawa from the OCPW spokesman Michael Luhan regarding the agency’s mission to destroy Syrian stockpiles of toxic chemicals.  Luhan expressed the hope that Syria will expedite the removal process.
