Alhurra and Radio Sawa Report on the Israeli Elections
Alhurra Television comprehensively reported the Israeli Parliamentary election with live news coverage as voters went to the polls to elect the party that will lead their country. The network’s extended programming included interviews with voters, who discussed the issues that resonated with them, including the security situation and the economy. On election night, Alhurra aired Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s victory speech live.
Alhurra’s coverage included profiles of all the major players in the main Israeli political parties. Alhurra also extended its flagship talk show Free Hour to two hours to provide analysis as the results started rolling in. The show included Israeli, Palestinian, Iranian and American analysts, who discussed the future of the Israeli government, relations with the Palestinian Territories and neighboring countries following the election.
