Join us Tuesday, August 19 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern time for a Reddit AMA about the hazards to journalists reporting on areas in conflict, with a focus on the Middle East and North Africa.

Our journalists, VOA’s Elizabeth Arrott and Alhurra’s Yehia Kassem, will be joined by Delphine Halgand, the U.S. Director of Reporters Without Borders to answer questions about reporting in and about war zones.

This Q&A falls on the eve of the second anniversary of the disappearance of Alhurra’s Bashar Fahmi, who went missing during a reporting trip in Aleppo, Syria on August 20, 2012.
