VOA Documentary Screened in Moscow

On May 13, the Memorial Foundation in Moscow hosted a presentation and discussion of the Voice of America documentary series called “Parallels. Events. People.” about the history of Soviet dissidents.
 
IBB Deputy Director Jeff Trimble gave opening remarks, acknowledging the staff from VOA and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, saying, “Together we have come a long way, but there is still a lot of work to be done.” He added, “I give a special thanks to the Memorial Foundation, whose important work is needed now more than ever.”
 
Inna Dubinsky, development officer with the BBG’s Office of Strategy and Development, joined via Skype to discuss the role of U.S. international media and to provide an introduction to the screening.
