The Martí’s participated in the 9th annual Cuba Nostalgia event May 18-20. The event brings together all things Cuban in Miami. There were cigar makers, exhibits, vendors and traditional Cuban food. This year Cuba Nostalgia not only marked the 110 tenth anniversary of Cuba’s independence from Spain May 20th, but also the 27th anniversary of Radio Martí. Former Yankee Tony Perez stopped by as the Sunday Major League Baseball game was broadcast from the event. At its booth, Radio Martí also offered people an opportunity to send messages to friends and family in Cuba.
