The U.S. Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) has taken steps to dramatically expand the reach of its radio broadcasts to the people of Sudan.
The BBG has signed a letter of intent with the Government of Sudan that will allow its popular Arabic-language broadcasts of Radio Sawa to be heard on FM in Sudan. The agreement provides for up to 12 FM transmitting locations in Sudan
