New Radio Transmitters in Afghanistan Reach Nationwide

Two 400 kilowatt transmitters installed by the Broadcasting
Board of Governors (BBG) are operating in Afghanistan, giving the country nationwide, medium-wave (AM) radio service for the first time.

The transmitters are especially significant because they
will allow programs to reach all listeners in Afghanistan.
